Active Faith– the thinking of the heart
Following our issue marking the centenary of Steiner’s death, we are devoting this issue and the next one to the two major themes of the Philosophy of Freedom: in this issue, the question of knowing the truth; in the next one, the question of doing the good.
In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Rudolf Steiner emerged as a singular voice seeking to unify the realms of science, philosophy and spirituality. His early mature years—especially the period between the 1880s and early 1900s—were devoted to a public intellectual mission grounded in a rigorous philosophical inquiry. At the heart of his work during this time were two foundational questions: Can we truly know? and Can we be truly free?
